In the third quarter of 2021, Oman witnessed robust activity in the Maps and Navigation app category. Here’s a detailed look at the performance of the top five apps in this segment, based on data from Sensor Tower.

Oman Taxi: Otaxi showed a significant upward trend in downloads and active users. Weekly downloads peaked at around 5.9K by the end of September, a substantial increase from 2.1K at the start of the quarter. Active users also followed a similar trend, starting at 2.7K and reaching 7.1K by the end of September.

GPS, Maps, Voice Navigation experienced a varied download pattern, starting the quarter with 1K downloads, peaking at 3K in the first week of July, and then stabilizing around 1.2K to 1.7K towards the end of September. Active users displayed a steady trend, beginning at 3.3K and maintaining around 4K to 4.5K in the latter part of the quarter. Revenue for this app remained consistent at approximately $2 per week throughout the quarter.
